In this role you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of a contemporary training strategy for Community Corrections programs with input and partnerships of key stakeholders, including senior management, QCS Executives and staff.
  • Lead the development and implementation of QPSR recommendations where required.
  • Consult where necessary with internal staff and relevant external parties in the design, management and delivery of programs to ensure such programs meet the needs of QCS community corrections staff.
  • Maintain key performance indicators of training effectiveness and make changes as required.
  • Ensure the nationally accepted Community Corrections training function complies with RTO and VQF standards and oversee annual compliance audits that align with our RTO obligations.
  • Work with the business to develop efficient training strategies and lead change initiatives that ensure transformation efforts are successful.
  • Procure and manage partnerships with external training providers that may contribute to the overall training program for Community Corrections.
  • Manage, coach and mentor training facilitators within the team to optimise their capability as trainers.
  • Analyse organisational training needs across Community Corrections to inform appropriate training strategies through the application of instructional design methodologies.
  • Establish an annual community corrections training program calendar.
  • Establish continuous improvement processes, utilising input from both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the validity, relevance and quality of training and development programs for community corrections staff is maintained at a high level.
