What you can expect in this role
Your role within Technology and Digital Solutions (TDS) supports the department to deliver ICT services. The work you will do helps someone every day, and that means the world to us. The Contract Solutions branch provides a procure-2-pay service for ICT contracts to TDS and its clients. The branch is responsible for routine purchasing, tendering, contract management, vendor management and software licensing management. The branch is a results focused team supporting clients through the IT governance and controls to solve business needs through IT contracts. The Vendor Relationship Officer is primarily responsible for building and maintaining relationships with companies that the organisation has a commercial relationship with and key stakeholders from the business, to ensure they have a clear understanding of what the vendors are offering.

What you will be doing:
• Actively manage opportunities and contracts with internal government providers, including CITEC and QSS, in accordance with policy and procedures, including formation, reconciliation, renewals and terminations.
• Undertake procurement and contract management activities in accordance with internal and Queensland Government policies and frameworks.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality ICT services are provided to the department.
• Develop, apply and maintain efficient work practices to ensure relationships with ICT suppliers are monitored, performing and reviewed on a periodic basis, including annual attestations, disaster recovery preparedness, security.
• Ensure vendor services provided meet service level agreement requirements.
• Provide advice and recommendations to managers on opportunities that could leverage the buying power across the department for common services, including telecommunications, utilising data analysis tools such as Excel and PowerBI.
