Senior Project Officer

The Senior Project Officer is responsible for contributing to key strategic project and best practice solutions for the enhancement and implementation of projects and provide advice to QCS Intelligence, QCS management and other stakeholders, specifically the Gangs Exit Program.
We are seeking two motivated and capable Senior Project Officers to help drive the implementation of the Gangs Exit Program – a targeted initiative aimed at supporting individuals to disengage from gang activity and affiliations.
The successful candidates will coordinate delivery of the program across custodial and community environments, work closely with case management and operational teams as well as key external stakeholders.

The Senior Project Officer will:
- Establish and implement contemporary project and program management methodologies and techniques to assess, design, develop, implement and evaluate state-wide project and program activities within tight deadlines and competing demands.
- Contribute to complex data collection, forecasting, research, analysis, and consultation to support the delivery of Gangs Exit Program.
- Set realistic goals, establish balanced work priorities and implement continuous improvement to successfully coordinate concurrent project activity across the program within agreed timeframes.
- Implement effective and coordinated communication and engagement activities throughout project delivery to ensure the intended benefits are realised.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate delivery of project support to maximise benefits realisation.
- Support program level reporting and project health checks that provide visibility of risks, issues, change impacts and status of the Gangs Exit Program.
- Provide high-level secretariat support to Project Boards and senior meetings within QCS Intelligence, Community Corrections and Custodial Centres as requested, including setting agendas, completing minutes and action logs.
- Work autonomously, and as a member of a high functioning and collegial team; including adaptability and flexibility to deal with and manage changing priorities.
- Ensure the timely provision of communication, training and advice to relevant staff and key stakeholders.
- Prepare high quality reports, briefing notes, and presentations on designated project outcomes, findings and recommendations.
- Work cooperatively within broader QCS, including co-locating at Community Corrections locations and within custodial centres, offering technical expertise, advice and support on all project work and undertaking any other duties as required by senior managers.
