This exciting opportunity offers the chance to shape and influence psychosocial health and safety across a complex and diverse Government Department. This senior advisory position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the Department's approach to psychological health and fostering a safe, respectful, and high-performing work environment.

The Principal Advisor will lead the development, coordination, and implementation of Department-wide initiatives focused on strengthening psychosocial risk management. Through evidence-informed strategies and sector-leading practices, you will contribute to a workplace culture that prioritises psychological health and safety, proactively manages psychosocial hazards, and aligns with current legislative and regulatory frameworks.

You will act as a trusted advisor to managers and supervisors, providing expert guidance on practical and effective psychosocial risk management approaches. This includes assistance with planning, implementing, and evaluating initiatives, ensuring alignment with legislative obligations and Departmental priorities. Your expertise will be critical in fostering psychosocially safe environments where employees feel supported and valued.
