Safer Roads team within the Engineering and Technology branch provides specialised advice on key road safety issues to a range of internal and external stakeholders. The team supports the development of the Targeted Road Safety Program, contributes to research and trials of road safety related infrastructure and maintains several technical guidelines. The objective of SRI is to eliminate Fatal and Serious Injury crashes from the Queensland road network.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and providing technical governance for road safety technologies with a focus on the Targeted Road Safety Program.
- Provide specialist road safety technical advice within various forums to educate and inform key stakeholders
- Deliver updates to Queensland safety policies, guidelines, and processes in line with organisational objectives.
- Engage with key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of the Safer Roads work program and development of projects under the Targeted Road Safety Program (TRSP).
- Lead, coach and support a small number of reportees in a complex environment in the delivery of the Safer Roads work program.
