The Senior Advisor (Communications) role provides strategic communication advice and materials for internal and external communication activities. The role works with the Principal Advisor (Communication) to enhance internal communication and support the projects in the branch through coherent and effective communication products, fostering stakeholder relations, and ensuring effective delivery of branch initiatives and project deliverables.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Plan, prepare, manage and advise senior management on communication strategies and material for internal communication and project communication.
• Plan, manage and implement community engagement and correspondence activities.
• Develop relationships with key stakeholders to enhance cooperation, coordination and communication channels.
• Lead and manage correspondence activities in the branch supporting input into responses, reviewing material providing input and developing a library of materials for reference purposes.
• Ensure appropriate governance frameworks are maintained and adhered to in order to monitor compliance with policy, legislation, regulations, standards and procedures.

Requirements of the role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to plan, implement and manage internal communication and stakeholder engagement materials.
• Previous experience in researching, planning, and delivering various communication and engagement events and activities aligned with project priorities and strategic objectives.
• Ability to build enduring relationships with key stakeholders fostering cooperation and collaboration to achieve outcomes.
• Experience drawing on information from diverse sources and using knowledge and experience to respond to correspondence and requests which may be sensitive, working to deliver clear and concise responses.
• Leads strategically by understanding how organisational events impact on the work of the team, prioritising tasks efficiently, and aligning work with the organisation's vision.
