The Industries Advisor will facilitate and advise on the efficient development of all existing and future industry operations. This position will plan, oversee and direct the centre's business operations to ensure they are revenue generating and cost effective.

In this role you will:

  • Ensure offender supervision and security is maintained in accordance with centre operations.
  • Coordinate and schedule offender activities to achieve quality and production targets.
  • Liaise with existing and potential clients and undertake effective customer relations.
  • Identify, negotiate and respond to contracts and other marketing opportunities with external organisations.
  • Monitor quality control systems and facilitate implementation of quality assurance management systems in the industry areas
  • Oversee and guide offenders in the production of a variety or goods and services when necessary
  • Manage sales, distribution of tenders, quotes and work orders to appropriate areas
  • Initiate production development and enhancement opportunities
  • Assist in the preparation of an operational plan, budget estimates and the effective budget management for industries cost centres.
  • Provide production schedules, tender documentation, business plans and strategies to promote and manage productivity of the centre.
  • Actively participate in procurement process and stock control procedures.
  • Prepare reports.
  • Maintain records.
  • Perform other administrative duties required in the effective management of an
  • Industries Business Unit.
  • Ensure securities procedures are adhered to in all industries areas
  • Ensure the security and effective management and supervision of offenders in accordance with operating procedures and centre Agency procedures
  • Contribute to the provision of a safe environment for offenders
