An exciting opportunity has become available for a high performing individual to join the Engineering & Technology branch of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) in the role of Senior Engineer - Standards, Research and Training. The purpose of the Senior Engineer – Standards, Research and Training is to lead research and development in road planning and design, contribute to road design and safety barrier standards, including Austroads and Australian Standards, and support the delivery of technical training. The role also involves supporting regional staff and providing specialist advice through peer reviews to identify and address non-conformances, ensuring fit-for-purpose, risk-mitigated design solutions.

Mandatory requirements:
• A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
• A Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) in Civil Engineering is mandatory for appointment to the position.
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
