Administration Officer

We are seeking three dedicated and energetic individuals to provide administrative support to the Officer in Charge and members of the CPIU and Palmwoods Station.
The roles provide vital assistance to frontline officers and contributes to client service delivery. The successful applicants will be required to undertake a variety of administrative tasks, provide customer focused services, and work collaboratively to successfully contribute to client service delivery.

The Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) is responsible for delivering specialist services in child protection, child abuse investigations, and youth justice within the Sunshine Coast District. The CPIU is made up of several specialised units, including Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Team (SCAN), and they work closely with other government and non-government agencies.
There is a full time and a part time (0.6FTE) administration position available and both will be based at Maroochydore.
Palmwoods Police Station is a small rural station with four sworn officers and there is a part time (0.3FTE) position available.
Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Undertake the recording, indexing and archiving of correspondence using spreadsheets and databases.
- Input and retrieve data from a variety of computer systems.
- Attend to telephone enquiries and assist with front counter duties including liaising with and assisting members of the public providing information on Service initiatives and activities.
- Assist in the compilation of budgetary reports, returns and recording of overtime.
- Assist in the audit and risk management activities in relation to leave and rosters.
- Undertake and contribute to the review and improvement of administrative systems and processes.
- Prepare and/or assist banking, process expenditure and other vouchers, receipt monies and maintain Collection Accounts.
- Maintain and manage stores and equipment.
- Prepare and/or assist in the preparation and development of correspondence and reports.
