The Senior Spatial Analyst (PO3) is responsible for the development, management and maintenance of a wide range of biodiversity related spatial services and products.
The position provides high level spatial support and advice, assisting the team across a range of projects and tasks including the development of Biodiversity Planning Assessments, Aquatic Conservation Assessments, habitat modelling, database management and development, as well as in fulfilling ad hoc requests for maps, analysis and spatial statistics.

The position is with the Biodiversity Assessment team, based in Dutton Park, Brisbane. The team is responsible for the delivery of key state-wide planning tools and assessments through implementation of biodiversity values assessment methodologies such as BAMM and AquaBAMM. The results from these assessments are the foundation for the development and implementation of evidence-based policy across the state.

The team maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity and aims to provide robust and timely scientific advice. Team members have a wide range of expertise with a focus on landscape level ecology and spatial mapping and analysis.
