Your Opportunity:
This role will work in the Digital Technologies unit, who are responsible for directing IT operations & data management to optimise organisational outcomes & enable efficient & effective delivery of information for The Electoral Commission of Queensland (ECQ).
ECQ is a modern & professional statutory authority, & looking for a versatile, multi-skilled & motivated person for the position of Manager ICT Operations. This role will report to the Director & will be focused on ensuring high levels of compliance, security & client satisfaction through the provision of ICT services & solutions to internal & external stakeholders.
Digital technologies are currently embarking on some changes to leverage technical experts & program of work, this role will provide a significant opportunity to create a high-performance team across several key ICT services.

Your Contribution:
• Lead and manage the ICT Operations team to meet and contribute to the ECQ's operational objectives, through efficient use of allocated budgets and resources andthe provision of high service levels.
• Plan, design, direct and coordinate ICT-related activities that align with the ECQ's ICT policies and strategies, as well as providing leadership, administrative direction and support to the ICT Operations team.
• Champion the provision of high service levels through the application of project, change and risk management processes.
• Demonstrate an authoritative, pro-active approach in dealing with external vendors and outsourced development staff including active management of ICT licensing, support and services contracts.
• Manage internal and external stakeholders and balance the expectations of the business while promoting trust and reliability in the quality of services provided.
• Coordinate and lead liaison with decision makers to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions - provide input to strategic direction regarding latest technologies and service delivery methods that may be of benefit to the organisation and its strategic objectives.
• Build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, across ECQ and broadly.
• Identify opportunities to ensure value, synergies and innovation is leveraged in current and future services enabled or delivered by the ICT team, and make associated recommendations for change and improvements, supported by quality business cases.
• Provide input into the creation of an ICT roadmap that aligns with government policies, strategies and meets the likely demands of the ECQ's future ICT requirements.
• Oversee and drive innovation, efficiency, effectiveness and productivity towards the future directions and actively promote a culture that supports and values of staff.
• Contribute to team cohesiveness, wellbeing and capability through participation in establishing a positive environment, respectful of the views of others across the Digital Technologies unit and broader ECQ workforce.
• Consistently display the ECQ and Queensland Government values, ensuring that these are upheld at all levels of the organisation.
