The Sexual Violence Case Reform Team is responsible for supporting the development, implementation and operation of SDLCS-led recommendations 69 - 72 from the Women’s Safety and Justice Taskforce - Hear her voice - Report two.
The Case Manager will work closely with the judiciary, District Court registries, parties to the proceedings and the sexual violence sector to provide case management support to sexual violence matters as part of the Sexual Violence Case Management Pilot.

Your key responsibilities include:
- Liaise with legal practitioners, registry staff and the judiciary to schedule key court events as required by the sexual violence case management protocol.
- Act as the main court contact for the judges, legal practitioners, support services and other court staff regarding the progress of sexual violence matters.
- Collaborate to problem solve issues with regard to victim safety, timing of scheduled events, parties ability to meet court orders and other matters that arise.
- Prepare timely and accurate case summaries that detail court events and decisions and identify any emerging procedural issues for the presiding judge.
- Identify complex program issues, provide advice around the effectiveness of the case management protocol, and collaboratively develop evidence-based solutions.
- Establish and chair Local Operational Working Group meetings to ensure local stakeholder collaboration that will identify and resolve local drivers of delay in both individual matters and across the system.
- Prepare reports to support stakeholders in monitoring the effectiveness of the case management protocol.
- Maintain high quality data collection processes for the purposes of reporting, monitoring, and evaluating the sexual violence case management pilot.
- Support the Director, Sexual Violence Case Reform by providing subject matter expertise regarding the operational aspects of the sexual violence case management pilot.
Exposure to trauma and/or vicarious trauma
In this role you may be exposed to traumatic material by investigating, witnessing, or being exposed to traumatic events. This may include reading, hearing, or seeing accounts, photos, videos and other material related to traumatic events. The material may be unexpected, confronting, explicit, distressing, and/or offensive.
