Accommodation Officer

Operating from within the Accommodation and Facilities Unit, you will contribute to the delivery of a broad range of office accommodation activities, projects and services including accommodation lease management, financial management, capital and minor works related office fitouts and refurbishments, office relocations, maintenance, and coordination of site services (including cleaning, pest control, security, etc) at a range of CBD and regional locations throughout Queensland and contribute to the review and development of policies and procedures.

The Accommodation Officer, (AO4) is a role in which you will:
• Contribute to the effective management and delivery of day-to-day accommodation related activities for the department including projects, office fitouts, relocations, leasing, maintenance, minor works and associated activities in alignment with agreed timeframes and departmental goals.
• Develop, implement, maintain and refine effective administrative systems including those relating to management of leases, facilities, site services, finance and other accommodation activities; and oversee financial management practices and processes associated with procurement and corporate card expenditure and reconciliation.
• Liaising consulting and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of accommodation related services and activities and represent the unit at forums, committees and other working groups.
• Collate, prepare and review accommodation documentation including project and communication plans, briefing notes, procedures, reports and other correspondence.
• Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, processes and work practices that align with the Office Accommodation Management Framework and provide input into improvements where identified.
• Actively engage in identifying business improvements and efficiencies in delivery of accommodation projects, activities and services, while supporting an ongoing agenda of continuous improvement.
• Foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
