The Food and Linen Services at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Laundry Assistant to join their team on a casual basis.

This Expression of Interest collects a variety of information that will help identify potentially suitable applicants for future opportunities.

 Your opportunity

• To assist in the provision of a high-quality linen service to patients/consumers of Mackay Base Hospital
• To provide an efficient and effective linen service duties, including production, sterilising and distribution of linen to Mackay Base Hospital
• This position will be responsible for a 7-day week support service, processing and delivering linen

About the Team

The Mackay Base Hospital provides a comprehensive healthcare environment that has been designed with a patient friendly approach to layout and location of services. Linen Services launders approximately 90 tonnes of linen monthly. Linen is processed and laundered under strict Australian/New Zealand Standards for Laundry practice.
