Your key accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Develop and maintain funding and costing frameworks for operating and capital budgets for the organisation, including a reconciliation of information to Queensland government Tridata reporting.
- Develop and implement models, costing tools and reporting to perform trend analysis and forecasting of workforce, infrastructure and non-labour costs to support decision making in line with Queensland government and organisational decisions.
- Provide high level financial and business advisory support including analysis of budget trends, variance analysis, cost drivers and forecasting insights to inform the development of internal and external submissions.
- Undertake financial analysis and reporting and financial evaluation of projects and initiatives using financial systems and other tools to meet information needs of stakeholders and the organisation.
- Engage and provide advice and recommendations to a range of internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of financial management services and initiatives.
- Create a working environment that encourages teamwork and also empowers individual staff to seek challenges, develop skills and achieve results.
Role Requirements
Technical/ Operational/ Education experience -
- A tertiary qualification in Finance or a related discipline and relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
