The Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) supports Queensland's rural and regional communities by providing government-backed grants, loans, advisory services, and farm debt solutions. With a proud 30-year history, QRIDA has traditionally had a strong primary industry focus, helping primary producers establish themselves in agriculture, enhance sustainability, improve profitability, and recover from droughts, natural disasters, and other challenges. QRIDA is today well positioned to support the delivery of broader industry programs across all regional and rural organisations throughout Queensland. As the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA), you will lead a purpose-driven organisation dedicated to supporting Queensland's rural and regional communities.

Appointed by the Governor in Council under the Rural and Regional Adjustment Act 1994, and accountable to both the Chair of the Board and Minister for Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development, the CEO is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational management, and governance of QRIDA.

This pivotal role involves shaping and driving QRIDA's strategic vision, fostering collaborative partnerships, and delivering high-quality financial assistance programs. You will lead the ongoing transformation of QRIDA, providing expert advice to the QRIDA Board, Minister, and Director-General on strategic issues impacting Queensland's rural and regional sectors. With a strong focus on organisational resilience, client service excellence, and stakeholder engagement, you will position QRIDA as a respected and progressive organisation.

To be considered for this role you will have a proven track record as a dynamic and visionary leader with success in leading large, complex organisations across the public, private (particularly financial services) and/or not-for-profit sectors. With extensive experience in strategy development, policy implementation, and client service delivery, you bring the ability to inspire and build high-performing teams. Your strategic acumen and capability to foster collaborative partnerships with government agencies, industry groups, and financial institutions will enable you to drive QRIDA's vision of supporting Queensland's resilience and recovery. You deeply understand rural and regional economic challenges and possess exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. With a commitment to fostering a culture of excellence, integrity, and innovation, you will lead QRIDA to deliver impactful outcomes for Queensland's communities and industries. Tertiary qualifications in finance, business, or a related field are highly desirable, along with a passion for serving the people and communities of Queensland.
