As the Principal Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships (SEP) Officer you will work autonomously and lead the Stakeholder Engagement and Partnerships team in the Strategy Communications and Data directorate to develop, deliver, implement and evaluate evidence-based awareness, education and engagement strategies that make a real, positive difference to work health and safety, electrical safety, workers' compensation and industrial relations issues for the people of Queensland.
This role is primarily responsible for leading awareness, education and engagement strategies and for coaching and mentoring a small number of
communication/marketing/engagement staff within the Strategic Communications (SC) unit in the Office of Industrial Relations. This role is both strategic and operational and will require expertise in the delivery of strategic communication, planning and execution, working within an agile team environment and a sound governance framework, with the ability to guide and support others.
You will lead the roll out of OIR's internal communications strategy. You'll work closely with internal subject matter experts to drive an evidence-based and impactful best practice internal communications strategy. This role also oversees OIR's safety ambassador and advocate programs, and you'll lead the administration of the program as well as communication tactics to raise awareness. You'll guide and coach others in the team to deliver, monitor and evaluate communications strategies. You'll also play a leading role in OIR's sponsorship and trade event program.
