• Improve wellbeing of children and young people in and transitioning from youth justice.
• Reduce the disproportionate representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people in the youth justice system.

Key responsibilities:
As an Executive Support Officer, you will specifically:
• Provide timely, high quality, confidential administrative advice and support to the Executive Director, Wacol Youth Remand Centre with the ability to work independently, display high levels of time management, and to organise within tight
timeframes particularly in a support role.
• Maintain the Executive Director's diary, including the organisation of meetings, appointments, conferences, seminars, and accommodation and travel arrangements.
• Assist in the coordination of the timely preparation of executive correspondence on behalf of the Executive Director.
• Provide liaison between the Executive Director's office and centre managers on a range of matters including meeting schedules, preparation of correspondence and documents and regular reporting requirements.
• Provide secretariat services and coordinate a range of activities resulting from key operational forums within the centre such as the Local Workplace Consultative Committee, Reference Groups and the community stake holder groups and ensure that issues raised at these forums are attended to in a timely manner.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to inquiries relevant to the Wacol Youth Remand Centre.
• Participate productively and collaboratively as a member of a team in delivering support and services to clients.
• Allocate, prioritise and perform tasks in accordance with departmental procedures and financial and administrative delegations.
