About the role
As our Procurement Support Officer, you will:
• Monitor, review and provide accurate and professional advice and support to NFAEP staff on end-to-end procurement activity implementation including procurement planning and documentation, evaluation and supplier negotiation, contract documentation, supply arrangements establishment and maintenance.
• Liaise, negotiate and communicate with a range of internal and external stakeholders regarding NFAEP procurement processes, procedures, training and delegations.
• Assist NFAEP staff with contract management including planning, contract administration, Accounts Payable and reporting.
• Contribute to the identification and implementation of initiatives to improve procurement processes and activities including assisting with establishing and maintaining systems, tracking and reporting to support the team objectives.
• Support complex procurement projects by undertaking administrative support functions as directed by the Senior Procurement Officer including reporting on progress and outcomes.
• As a team member, contribute to team performance and engage staff to build procurement and contract management capability within Biosecurity Queensland.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders including Corporate Finance and Procurement and Procurement Services to facilitate effective procurement outcomes.

Mandatory qualifications
• Possession of, or the ability to acquire possession of a Level 1 certification of the Queensland Procurement Framework
