Lead Developer

As a member of the DTU Development Team, the Lead Developer is responsible for leading a technical team that develops, maintains, and enhances key digital products used by Queensland Courts. You will coordinate activities and allocate resources, both technical and personnel, to deliver outcomes that meet agreed client requirements and timelines in a complex environment.
The Lead Developer establishes and maintains strong relationships with IT support and delivery teams across operational areas and project teams ensuring minimal impact to business operations while delivering the required program of work.

Technical skills, abilities and cultural capability
- Lead and mentor a development team in the delivery and maintenance of high-quality digital products and services.
- Provide technical leadership by making informed decisions and solving complex technical challenges.
- Participate in the implementation of business solutions, including installation, configuration, programming/customisation, integration and data migration.
- Provide high level technical expertise and leadership in systems maintenance and development, particularly in relation to client-server, web-based, and middleware systems.
- Provide high level, expert, support to application administrators and other technical support staff.
- Foster an environment of collaboration and innovation within the development team.
- Participate in peer reviews of solution design, systems developed and test plans related to solutions.
- Identify opportunities for improvement to development standards and methodologies.
- Participate in continuous improvement of S&T activities and processes and contribute to the delivery of the CTDP work program as required.
