As our Senior Database Administrator, you will:
• Troubleshoot and monitor for database issues, applying problem-solving strategies and techniques to conduct root cause analyses and identify, analyse, evaluate and implement solutions.
• Design, upgrade, and migrate databases, update database schemas, and write and review data fixes.
• Work with stakeholders to devise practical solutions that balance system performance, usability, cross-system dependencies, security, scalability, reusability and overall cost to develop and maintain while meeting the defined business needs.
• Deploy changes to production applications from written and automated deployment plans according to change management processes.
• Write, maintain, and follow technical and procedural documentation.
• Contribute to the creation of effort estimates for enhancement and development work.
• Work with a team of DBA professionals to deliver best practice application database support.
• Prioritise and complete deliverables within specified timeframes.
• Participate in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture where team members enjoy coming to work.
• Demonstrate commitment to contemporary standards of ethical practice, workplace safety, equity and diversity.

Relevant Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) skills for this role are:
• DBAD-5 Database administration.
• DBDS-5 Database design.
• SCTY-4 Information Security.
• SCAD-4 Security Administration.
