Executive Manager - Business Services
Support; Metro South Region; Spring Hill
The Executive Manager, Business Services is responsible for leading the delivery of business services to the region including planning; governance; infrastructure, fleet and equipment planning and management; financial and management accounting; human resource management; health and safety; and delivery of a wide range of business support services including general administrative support.
The role will provide a high level of strategic support to the regional Assistant Commissioner and District Directors, in delivering organisational outcomes and reforms that contribute to the overall future direction of the QAS, including providing oversight of ambulance operations, to ensure quality, timely and appropriate pre-hospital care and transport services are provided to the Queensland community within the region.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Highly developed leadership skills with demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing and coordinating the delivery of a wide range of complex, high quality business support services in the delivery of a multi-dimensional range of operational ambulance services.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire diverse, professional teams, in a complex health service environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
- Success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to a range of corporate support functions including asset, financial, human resource and health and safety management.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills and the proven ability to build productive, influential relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Well-developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills including a demonstrated ability to interpret financial and trend/output/outcome performance data to drive performance improvement.
- Demonstrated capabilities and experience in implementing organisational change and service system reform in a complex environment, working effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commitment to implement practices which promote a fair and ethical workplace, employment equity, cultural diversity and occupational health and safety.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- Whilst not mandatory, the possession of tertiary or postgraduate qualification/s in a business-related discipline will be highly regarded.
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
