Great Barrier Reef and Marine Parks (GBR&MP) Region are excited to share an incredible opportunity for an Administration Officer (HR) to join the team on a temporary basis through to 28 August 2026.
As one of the six regions of the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service, the GBR&MP Region delivers conservation and management activities across land and sea including implementing the Reef Joint Field Management Program in the Great Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. Additionally, the Region oversees the state's southern marine parks - Great Sandy Marine Park and Moreton Bay Marine Park.
The Administration Officer (HR) provides vital support for HR, recruitment and administrative functions across the Great Barrier Reef and Marine Parks Region. As part of the Business Support Team, you will assist staff, coordinate recruitment processes and respond to a range of HR matters. This role supports the region's broader work in delivering land and sea conservation programs in partnership with government agencies, Traditional Owners and the community.

Role focus:
• Coordinate the full vacancy management and recruitment process, ensuring compliance with guidelines and providing advice, coaching, and support to selection panels.
• Provide HR support including managing position descriptions, handling general HR enquiries, and maintaining HR records.
• Support performance development planning (PDP) and assist staff with financerelated guidance and training.
• Oversee HR reporting, quality assurance, and provide scribing services for recruitment panels as needed.
To be considered you must hold the following qualifications:
• An unrestricted automatic driver's licence.
There are no mandatory qualifications required to undertake this position however, formal qualifications in business would be highly regarded.
