Applications are invited to be submitted via Smart Jobs for the permanent position of AO4 Business Officer, Marine Technical Services, PO&VTS, Maritime Safety Queensland, located in Pinkenba, Brisbane.

In the role of Business Officer, Marine Technical Services (MTS), you will coordinate and undertake business support and administrative activities in relation to Vessel Traffic Services (VTS) system asset management, corporate card, cost centre management/budgeting, record and document management. You will also manage and coordinate our SharePoint site content and structure and undertake other project activities as required.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
• Provide advice and lead the coordination and documentation of VTS systems, procurement functions, records management, policies and procedures related to technical asset management and maintenance.
• Maintain MTS financial systems and undertake reporting, purchasing and logistic functions, travel, Workplace, Health and Safety and general administration in accordance with government legislation and departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with the compliance of MTS with the ISO 9001 VTS Quality Management System.
• Develop new and prepare existing monthly, quarterly and ad hoc financial and administrative reports (online and print) for all cost centres within the MTS unit, in accordance with division /departmental requirements.
• Undertake other MTS and Port Operations and VTS (POVTS) administrative and project-related support tasks as required.
• Maintain MTS and POVTS unit's administrative systems at a high standard to ensure accurate recording of activities, equipment history records, asset maintenance and quality assurance systems.
• Maintain technical documentation to support projects, regulatory compliance, and future reference.
• Provide administrative support to management of contracts, site management plans, leases, and licenses as they apply to technical infrastructure and VTS operations.
