Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
• Manage iteration planning, team capacity, demand and dependencies with Product Owners and Delivery Leads / Project Managers.
• Facilitate the removal of blockers or escalate when necessary.
• Protect the team from outside interruptions with focus on continuous improvement.
• Lead diverse teams, including coaching, having difficult conversations and providing feedback.
• Focus on team capability, instilling a growth mindset within teams.
• Contribute to the ongoing improvement of existing team processes and structures where necessary.
• Produce reporting on progress (for example, sprint, velocity, phase, milestone).
• Facilitate team rituals when required including daily stand-ups, short and long-term planning, estimation sessions and retros.
• Build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups and within the team.
To be considered suitable for the role you will have:
• Experience managing and leading high performing teams in large complex organisations.
• Demonstrate high level understanding and experience using Agile principles and ways of working, including agile tools and techniques: e.g. collaboration, retrospectives, story writing including acceptance criteria and definition of done.
• Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to adapt in a dynamic changing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of IT service management principles and frameworks including ITIL, process tools (e.g. ServiceNow), frameworks, and best practice methods in complex, multi-supplier environments.
