We are seeking a permanent, full-time Governance Advisor to join the Corporate Governance and Risk Group (CGRG) at Queensland Corrective Services (QCS).
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective governance processes, providing high-quality secretariat support, and collaborating with stakeholders to enhance governance reporting and capability throughout the department.

Key accountabilities include:
• Contribute to the development of corporate governance frameworks and associated strategies, policies, tools, templates and guidelines to ensure a consistent approach to governance.
• Provide secretariat support for the Board of Management including preparing agendas, collating and distributing meeting papers and following up on action items.
• Ensure committee governance documents are maintained and published in accordance with established processes.
• Coordinate the development of complex reports and submissions, briefing notes, publications and correspondence.
In addition to experience, we are looking for someone who has:
• Attention to detail and is enthusiastic about continuous improvement.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
• Exceptional organisational, time management and prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
