In conjunction with the Manager, Quality Assurance Projects, the Principal Program Officer will lead a team to design and deliver projects designed to improve quality service outcomes for our clients and the Queensland Government.

You will use contemporary project management approaches, high-quality stakeholder engagement and consultation, working in collaboration with a variety of team members to achieve client focused outcomes.

Knowledge, experience and/or understanding of the application of quality management systems in a human service delivery context will be viewed favourably.

The Principal Program Officer, Quality Assurance Project's key responsibilities are:

• Design, develop and implement project activities, materials, artefacts, and documents in support of the team's work and related outputs.
• Provide high level advice to the Manager and/or Director and departmental senior executives on any project issues or risks that may inhibit the successful delivery of projects.
• Prepare a range of written materials including submissions, correspondence, briefing material and papers concerned with the programs and initiatives delivered by the team.
• Assist the Manager with the facilitation of effective communication channels and initiate, influence, and maintenance of relationships with and between key internal and external stakeholders foster relationships, through lessons learned, feedback mechanisms and management of expectations.
• Implement, monitor and lead the development of systems and processes that facilitate appropriate governance and management practices and the continuous improvement of practice that supports the provision of quality services.
• Apply superior analytical skills to data, take responsibility for reporting on the team's functions and develop recommendations for actions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to the evaluation of initiatives, so as to ensure the project outcomes value-add to the provision of services and achieve the strategic and business goals of Disability Services.
• Promote a fair, respectful and safe work environment by providing support and guidance to service areas, anticipating and addressing challenges and opportunities that facilitate high performing teams.
• Positively influence the team's professional environment to encourage commitment, ethical behaviour, staff wellbeing, skills development, professional
growth and continuous improvement.
