Key responsibilities
• Manage the operational aspects of project delivery to ensure the effective and efficient use of systems and processes involved with all phases of the project management model.
• Ensure all quality and environmental aspects of the project are identified and addressed to maintain effective operation and project delivery.
• Manage and co-ordinate maintenance contract performance and maintenance practices by ensuring that efficient procedures are implemented, and best practice is achieved.
• Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary to support responsible decisions and courses of action for the design and construction of road infrastructure projects.
• Provide support and advice on planning and design suitability and options, the use of materials, resources, components or systems within the project, and construction practices and problems to ensure project success, value for money and best practice are achieved.
• Supervise and coordinate resource allocation with the expectation that you would encourage effective teamwork and foster a positive attitude toward the achievement of organisational objectives.
Mandatory qualifications and conditions
• Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.
• A Washington Accord accredited four-year degree in Engineering or equivalence recognised by Engineers Australia.
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) is mandatory for appointment to the position.
• A Class driver's licence.
Requirements of the role
• Has extensive experience in the management of a maintenance program including project and routine maintenance activities.
• Has experienced in Asset management and tailoring the engineering solutions to meet the long-term needs of the asset within the context of an asset management plan.
• Works with the team to organise work priorities so they deliver on broader organisational commitments within a constrained resource environment.
• Applies expertise in contract administration to administer complex contracts, With a particular focus on longer duration relationship management between contractor and Principal.
