About the role:
This role involves coordinating and managing a diverse range of projects, applying sound judgment to meet tight deadlines and deliver outcomes. You will conduct research and analysis, providing expert advice on legislation and policy to support programs and monitor development applications, place naming, and planning schemes across Queensland. The position ensures compliance with relevant legislation and frameworks while engaging with internal and external stakeholders on planning and place naming matters. You will deliver high-quality briefings and reports on complex issues to senior staff, collaborate with government and non-government partners to achieve policy outcomes, and contribute to submissions, reports, and briefing materials for various working groups and senior decision-makers.
What we're looking for:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• The ability to manage multiple complex projects and business processes.
• Ability to work in a geographically dispersed, multi-disciplinary team.
• A university degree from a recognised tertiary institution or overseas qualification relevant to natural resource management would be highly regarded.
• Experience with related legislation relevant to natural resource management would be highly regarded.
