This is a Continuous Applicant Pool being used to recruit Natural Resource Management Officers to provide services in our Business Centres located at Dalby, Emerald, Bundaberg, Charleville, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Gympie, Nambour, Brisbane, Beenleigh and Toowoomba. Initially, two permanent positions are available, with applications for these roles closing on 03 July 2025.
Applications will be assessed for suitability as employment opportunities arise and will remain in the pool for 12 months from the closing date.

In this role you will:
• Participate in activities that support the responsible management of Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development state interests and legislative responsibilities.
• Advise, liaise, consult and negotiate with Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development clients, all levels of government, and other organisations on natural resource management issues and policy implementation.
• Analyse and interpret information and legislation to provide advice and services to landholders and other internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare written correspondence, briefing notes, reports and information documents for approval by supervisors and managers.
• Assist with planning and undertaking compliance activities which may include conducting inspections, developing reports and implementing legislative enforcement tools.

Mandatory requirements:
Qualifications:
• A degree or higher in the field of Natural Resource Management, Land/Regional/Urban Planning, Environmental or Earth Sciences, or Agriculture.
