The Department of Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety are looking for a Principal Management Accountant who will support the financial and budgetary management process for the client group in this role. This role includes the provision of budget development, monitoring and reporting services, contribution to the development of financial management improvement strategies, financial modelling and analysis, cost benefit analysis and support of strategic projects.

The Principal Management Accountant's key responsibilities are:
- Provide high level assistance to your manager in development of the budget for your client group, including assisting in the preparation of strategic and mid-year review submissions and provide support and advice as required to clients.
- Provide input into the Service Delivery Statement and other State budget papers, Estimates Committee processes, Questions on Notice and other briefings relevant for the Program.
- Contribute to the monthly financial management report for the department and ongoing monitoring activities.
- Contribute to the monthly capital report for the department and ongoing capital monitoring activities.
- Provide independent analytical reviews, forecasts and analysis of financial performance and performance indicators and provide advice regarding budgetary and financial issues.
- Provide financial reports to Queensland Treasury and other government departments as required.
- Liaise, consult and provide high level advice and assistance on budget-related issues to the Manager, Chief Finance Officer, senior management and a range of other clients across the department.
