SIP: Strategy, Investment and Performance (SIP) delivers a range of services to support Biosecurity Queensland (BQ). SIP partners with BQ program areas to provide specialised advice on best business practice and technology to serve internal (and sometimes external) customers and business stakeholders.
This role plays a pivotal role in achieving the team's goals by actively contributing to project activities, managing workloads effectively, and fostering positive relationships with stakeholders. The role involves ensuring projects are completed to high-quality standards, adhering to relevant policies and procedures, and delivering outcomes that align with the department's strategic objectives.
The candidate will also be expected to uphold equity and diversity principles and contribute to Queensland's biosecurity efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the intergovernmental relations function, including coordination of briefs, agenda papers, minutes and attendees, managing the email inbox and demonstrating exceptional records management skills.
Engage and consult with stakeholders and contractors to deliver key projects, identify emerging issues and mitigate risks.
Provide business support across the team when required, including contract management.
Research and prepare high-quality advice, briefing notes and other materials as required.
Actively contribute and be a positive team player.
It is a requirement for all Biosecurity Queensland positions to have a criminal history check completed.
