Surgical Inpatient Units and Services, Division of Surgery are looking for an Assistant Nursing Director to join their team. The Division of Surgery incorporates perioperative services, inpatient speciality units and surgical ambulatory care services with a secondary, tertiary, and quaternary referral service for hospitals and medical practitioners. The Surgical Inpatient Units and Services includes: Breast and Endocrine, Upper GI, ENT and Plastics, Hepato-biliary, Acute Surgery, Ophthalmology, Liver/Renal Transplant, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Stomal Therapy & Wound Management, Trauma, Urology and Vascular sub-specialties.

About the Role
- The Assistant Nursing Director (AND) provides contemporary strategic, operational and professional nursing leadership and management for the Surgical Inpatient Units and Services within the Division of Surgery within an expansive and/or complex environment.
- Lead education strategies which facilitate capability and capacity development of nursing and other teams through a workforce development framework that promotes continuing education.
- Lead development of a vision and strategy for a work-based culture that promotes education initiatives and life-long learning.
- Lead and/or promote and engage in evidence-based nursing quality/research projects within the health facility/service.
