The Principal Software Developer key responsibilities are:
- Lead the design of large and complex systems by using appropriate design standards, methods and tools consistent with enterprise architecture.
- Provide a lead role in the promotion of software developer best practices covering software development, architecture, security, documentation and testing of ICT solutions.
- Coordinate, consult, and negotiate with stakeholders, customers, and the internal IT team, maintaining a customer-centric approach throughout the development and delivery of software solutions. Identify and communicate the benefits, risks, and issues associated with potential solutions and options
- Provide advice to IT Manager in development of ICT strategy, risk assessment and determining priorities.
- Lead and execute the end-to-end software development processes for implementing new application, including interactions with other internal and external systems, to deliver successful business outcomes.
- Application of Agile and DevSecOps development methodology to consistently releasing new solutions and release updates.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to junior team members while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Other duties as specified by the supervisor/line manager.
