The South East Queensland (SEQ) Regional Office of Queensland Parks & Wildlife Services and Partnerships is looking to hire a Finance Generalist. This role involves delivering comprehensive financial and performance reporting for the SEQ Region, providing efficient and effective financial services and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.

The AO4 Administration Officer (Finance) role within the SEQ Region of Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service and Partnerships (QPWSP), within DESI is a highly finance and budget focussed position.
We are seeking applications from suitable applicants interested in leading a finance and budget driven position that assists and provides advice to others within the region in finance and budget management. The role reports to a regional leadership team at regular fortnightly meeting intervals to update the team on the region's budget position and can break down and explain various base and special funded projects and anomalies identified. The role prepares, coordinates and assists in upcoming financial year budget preparation, submissions and builds. It monitors monthly expenditure for the region at a high level that identifies budget savings and completes those transactions. The role also assists other staff within the region in system familiarisation and processing from a business area perspective, to ensure transactions are completed prior to end of month reporting.
The role also uses several departmental applications, systems and communication portals designed for administration and finance processing, budget building, finance reporting and team collaboration in its coordination of information to complete its tasks within short timeframes. Together with these systems, the role makes good use of Microsoft Suite applications and advanced capability in their use, to streamline, report on and present financial data to its various stakeholders.
