About Us
The Service Planning and Infrastructure team are responsible for state-wide planning and delivery of passenger transport infrastructure, managing the Passenger Transport Infrastructure Investment Program (PTIIP) valued at over $990 million over the next four years. Our goal is to deliver smart, value-for-money infrastructure that enhances customer experience and supports seamless travel across Queensland.
Your Role
As Principal Planner, you will lead a high-performing team and manage complex, multi-modal transport planning projects. You will provide expert advice on integrated passenger transport planning, contribute to strategic infrastructure investments, and collaborate with key stakeholders such as Queensland Rail and local governments to ensure optimal outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate multi-modal passenger transport infrastructure planning and investment projects
• Provide specialist advice on transport planning, reviewing concept plans, and assessing development applications
• Manage planning programs to prioritize and deliver future passenger transport infrastructure investments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Foster a positive, collaborative team environment focused on high-quality delivery and customer outcomes
About You
• Proven experience managing complex transport infrastructure planning or engineering projects
• Expertise in transport and land use planning to provide integrated advice during land use processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage stakeholders and support team success
Desirable
Bachelor's degree in transport or land use planning, or equivalent experience
