As a Principal Contract and Partnership Officer, you will work in a small team managing contracts and supporting partnerships across the housing, homelessness services and broader service system to resolve complex issues and deliver improved housing and homelessness services; and ensuring funded providers deliver holistic, place-based and trauma-informed services which represent value for money and meet customer need.
What you will be doing:
• Provide leadership and management in the delivery of high-quality contract management services, including the development of appropriate service responses to customers.
• Lead and manage staff, physical and financial resources in accordance with the department's service delivery framework, strategic objectives, policies, and contemporary best practice standards.
• Build, maintaining, and supporting collaborative relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to professionally and proactively manage provider performance and compliance, conduct reviews; and enable the delivery of innovative and effective customer outcomes.
• Provide high level strategic and operational advice on complex and emerging issues, local needs and opportunities, perceived gaps in service delivery and the development of innovative and practical responses to improve customer outcomes
• Provide high-level communication skills, focusing on collective problem-solving and decision-making, early identification, and resolution of issues that reflect sound assessment and evidence-based findings.
• Lead a positive team culture focused on collaboration, communication and cultural capability including for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples; working flexibly in a fast-paced and diverse team environment; embracing agile methodology and using a build, measure, learn approach.
• Leading, modelling, and fostering professionalism, accountability and ethical behaviour
• Lead and ensure you establish and maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
