Executive Officer
Office of the Medical Director; Head Office; Kedron
The Executive Officer reports to the Executive Manager and is primarily responsible for the provision of professional executive support services for the Deputy Medical Directors to ensure the efficient operation of the Office of the Medical Director. This includes the coordination of responses to internal, external and Ministerial correspondence, and the provision of policy advice in accordance with QAS strategic direction.
The role also provides a high level of support to the Medical Director, and Executive Manager within the Office of the Medical Director portfolio in leading and managing the work program and administrative functions of the office.

We are seeking applicants who, within the context of the role responsibilities, possess the following key attributes:
- Detailed knowledge, understanding and experience in the delivery of high-quality, professional executive services.
- Highly developed leadership skills and demonstrated capabilities and experience in managing and coordinating an administrative support team, in an environment of competing priorities and needs with limited resources.
- Demonstrated highly developed communication, negotiation, consultation and collaboration skills, including the ability to prepare and write high level Ministerial and other sensitive or confidential correspondence.
- Proven success in the development and implementation of practical, efficient and effective governance arrangements in respect to a range of professional executive functions.
- Demonstrated highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills to contribute towards strategic planning and the provision of policy advice.
The following mandatory requirements, special conditions and/or other requirements apply to this role:
- The incumbent may be required to travel on official business and the possession of a C class driver's licence may be required.
- Whilst not mandatory, qualifications in administration or business-related disciplines would be well regarded.
