Join us as the Manager, Workforce Management, where you’ll lead a state-wide, hybrid team which services the 1400+ employees of the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development. Our collaborative team of 19 team members deliver a range of HR activities, that include but are not exclusive to recruitment, establishment management, employee support, return to work programs, policy and procedure governance, workplace relations, client management support, workforce analytics, day-to-day HR enquiries and workforce planning.

In this strategic leadership role, you'll partner with business leaders and HR specialists to co-design contemporary workforce solutions and foster a highperforming, future-ready culture.

Your day-to-day will involve guiding your team through complex and fast-paced challenges, facilitating critical conversations, and driving initiatives that improve capability, streamline operations, and enhance employee experience. You'll manage resourcing and business planning, contribute to policy development, represent the division in key forums, and support a safe, inclusive and productive workplace.

Success in this role requires strong HR expertise, a solid understanding of relevant legislation, and well-developed skills in change management, strategic thinking and stakeholder engagement. An understanding or previous exposure in driving business decisions informed by HR workforce analytics will be regarded. As a highly organised individual, you'll successfully prioritise workloads while leaning on your team to assist with changing workloads and expectations.

We're looking for someone who brings initiative, enjoys problem-solving, and is keen to develop others. The successful candidate will bring a light-hearted and positive presence to contribute to an enjoyable working environment. As a people person, you will have a high level of influence with your approach and communication style to achieve outcomes both with and through your people.

This position is available at a Flexible location between existing agency business centres of Brisbane, Nambour, Bundaberg, Mackay, Townsville and Cairns. Please state your preferred location on your application.
