Are you ready to lead economic transformation and policy innovation in Queensland? As the Associate Under Treasurer, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice to Queensland Treasury while working closely with the Under Treasurer and Treasurer. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping fiscal policy, economic growth, and intergovernmental initiatives that deliver real outcomes for Queenslanders.
In this significant executive leadership role, you'll represent Queensland Treasury at the highest levels, influence state-wide financial governance, and develop strategies that align with government priorities. In this role, you will:
- Provide innovative leadership to promote economic growth while managing and mitigating the state's financial risks and governance.
- Deliver expert fiscal, economic, and intergovernmental policy advice to the Under Treasurer and Treasurer on critical issues.
- Oversee and coordinate the delivery of the Queensland State Budget, providing strategic direction to the Fiscal and Transactions divisions.
- Work in collaboration with government agencies and external stakeholders to deliver fiscally responsible policies that align with government priorities and community objectives.
- Develop strong relationships across the public and private sectors to influence outcomes and advocate for Queensland's economic needs.
- Represent Queensland Treasury in national and state forums, negotiating and leading discussions on significant financial and intergovernmental matters.
- Manage governance frameworks, strategies, and systems to deliver high-quality, responsive, and innovative services.

- You possess deep knowledge of government processes, including cabinet operations, budget formulation, and budget estimates, enabling you to navigate the machinery of government effectively.
- You excel in managing complex stakeholder relationships, leveraging high-level political judgement to balance competing priorities and achieve consensus.
