Based at David Fleay Wildlife Park at Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, as a QPWS&P Ranger, you'll enjoy a five-day roster with two days off.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our wildlife while working closely with the Ranger in Charge (Wildlife) and Team Leaders in Maintenance and Visitor Services. You'll thrive in a collaborative environment that values excellent communication and time management skills.

As a key member of our leadership team, you'll be at the forefront of overseeing wildlife care diets and procedures, coordinating our preventative health program, and ensuring meticulous maintenance of care data records.
Your new role will be crucial in upholding adherence to site and departmental codes, policies, procedures, and charters (WHS, Animal Welfare), as well as ensuringcompliance with exhibiting animal legislation.
We're looking for the best suited person for the role. If you are eligible, we will assess your suitability by considering your ability to perform the duties of the role, the way you carried out previous roles (if relevant), your potential to make
contributions to the park and department and awareness of health and safety obligations for yourself and to others and how your engagement would support our commitment to equity, diversity, respect and inclusion.
This exciting position will also participate in a team and assist with the supervision of subordinate staff, students and volunteers and implement and monitor workplace health and safety, staff performance management measures and equal employment opportunity principles and practices, undertake administrative duties such as compiling and maintaining maintenance records and procurement of goods and services, foster a workplace culture that supports and promotes the interests of First Nations people and actively engage through our work to contribute to better outcomes for First Nations people.
