This position is based in Maryborough, and working from home for up to two days per week is an option for the successful candidate.
Some travel to Brisbane may be required for training days.
Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
- Undertake investigations into alleged breaches of legislation for which QBCC is responsible for administering and regulating, and take appropriate action, including job site operations and investigations.
- Prepare investigation plans and manage high-volume investigative caseloads.
- Use best-practice investigative techniques, including offence elementisation, formulation of evidence matrices, preparation of witness statements and affidavits and conducting records of interviews.

Be courageous and display rigour in the analysis of facts relevant to investigations with a focus on evidence based reporting and good decision making, which is based on legislation, policy and is able to withstand review.

Desirable Requirements
- Certificate IV in investigation or equivalent (i.e. Bachelor of Law)
- Minimum three years investigative experience
- Knowledge or experience in government investigations or experience across a variety of regulatory environments.
