Our Land division are the stewards for 60% of the land in Queensland and we deliver a variety of land and property services across Queensland, including land and asset valuations, state land administration and on ground management surveying services, native title claims and compensation, Indigenous land services, vegetation management, place names and government land acquisitions. As a Natural Resource Support Officer, you'll contribute to the efficient delivery of administrative, customer service and technical support functions that underpin our state's land management responsibilities. As part of the Natural Resource Assessment team, you'll play a vital role in supporting the department's operations across Queensland, working with over 60% of the state's land. You'll assist in the processing of land-related cases, manage enquiries, and provide front counter services, while ensuring compliance with legislation and internal guidelines. You'll also liaise with stakeholders, perform procurement and receipting tasks, and help deliver smooth day-to-day business centre operations. Key responsibilities:
• Provide administrative support across the Vegetation Management Unit and other units, including case processing and procurement.
• Respond to routine enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, offering clear written and verbal advice.
• Participate as part of a dispersed regional team to maximise client service and support departmental objectives.
• Deliver front-counter, phone and email services, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and adherence to recordkeeping standards.
• Operate department databases and systems for customer service, receipting, purchasing, reconciliation and banking.
• Assist with office functions such as mail handling, maintenance coordination and supply procurement.
• Contribute to business improvement initiatives and uphold departmental values and conduct standards.
