The Role
As a member of the Great Artesian Basin Project Management Office, you will be part of a small, dynamic, and results oriented team. This team delivers substantial funds for on ground works to support sustainable and efficient use of water resources. In collaboration with the team, you will help ensure grant program objectives are met by applying a high standard of contract administration and project management discipline. Your strong personal leadership and sharing of responsibility in a versatile and output focused team is expected.

Key Accountabilities:
• Actively participate in the full lifecycle of programs and projects, including; promote funding rounds, assess applications, negotiate and administer contracts, monitor progress and negotiate variations, facilitate and assess payment claims, acquit and report.
• Negotiate and liaise effectively with other functional areas and external stakeholders to gain advice and cooperation needed to successfully administer contracts.
• Act as a representative of the department and team in all external dealings, provide input to team decision making and consider the views of others and be prepared to compromise to meet the vision and outcome of the department.
• Lead and assist across functional work areas and work to solutions in an enthusiastic, positive, flexible and constructive manner.
• Actively engage with and promote programs and projects to the rural community and targeted industry members and demonstrate a commitment to quality customer service.
• Encourage innovation, collaboration, shared responsibility and a highperformance culture.
• Other duties as directed and required.

About You
• Applicable tertiary qualifications, while not mandatory, will be favourably considered.
• This position will require occasional overnight travel (including travel to remote locations) as part of the fulfilment of the role. This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and a ‘C' Class driver's licence is required.
• Experience in government or a similar sector is highly regarded.
• Strong project management experience, particularly in natural resource management or related fields.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
