As a Manager in the Reform, Strategy and Delivery Office, you'll work closely with the Director-General to lead a small, high-performing team focused on shaping the future of Queensland’s regions and economies.
This role offers the opportunity to influence whole-of-government policy, lead complex projects, and contribute to the department’s vision for stronger partnerships and long-term growth.
The Reform, Strategy and Delivery Office (RSDO) reports to the Director-General. It helps the department identify reform opportunities while supporting teams to deliver on the Reform Program and their individual programs of work.

About the role:
In this role, you will lead and manage significant, complex policy projects delivered by a small project team. You will drive policy outcomes through strong relationships and consultation across the department, Queensland Government, industry stakeholders, and Commonwealth agencies. You will also prepare and oversee high quality, timely advice on sensitive issues, including submissions, briefings, speeches, and other materials for senior executives, the Director-General, and the Minister.

Key duties and responsibilities: 
• Prepare and / or oversee complex reports requiring high level research and analysis on a range of policy issues, which includes submissions, briefing notes, presentations, speeches, publications and correspondence for policy across resources, lands, manufacturing and regional and rural development portfolios as well as the wider economic development space that identifies key opportunities, constraints and risks.
• Build and manage positive working relationships and partnerships across all stakeholders with high-level influence to effectively coordinate the management of the divisions requirements and priorities to achieve policy outcomes and deliver on Government commitments.
• Provide authoritative advice and coaching to project leads and senior management across the department to identify emerging risks, issues, and interventions on policy development to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the program delivery.
• Manage, mentor, coach and train staff in their development to ensure the necessary skills and motivation exist to respond to organisational requirements and perform to a high level of skill and expertise. 
• Other duties as directed and required.
