We are looking for a person with data engineer and data architecture knowledge who has strong stakeholder engagement skills to be our Data Engagement Manager.

This role will act as the primary liaison between our technical teams and our partnering agencies to promote a culture of data-driven decision-making andensuring stakeholders have access to the insights and tools they need to achieve organisational objectives. This role combines strategic leadership, client engagement, and technical expertise to deliver innovative, data-driven solutions that create measurable value.

As our Manager, Data Engagement you will:
• Develop and maintain constructive, collaborative working relationships with data anagement leads, and executives, becoming a trusted advisor to all areas and levels of the partnership, working as part of a dynamic multidisciplinary team.
• Provide data-related thought leadership and effective data governance advice to the partnership by facilitating data related working groups and communities of practice and providing advice on best practice data architecture and data management.
• Facilitate the development of a data catalogue strategy(ies) aligned with the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA) direction.
• Provide advice on the strategic direction for leveraging data related ICT investment and benefits.
• Liaise with subject matter expert (SME) across the partnership to align data architecture, data management frameworks, data policies and standards.
• Contribute to the design of data pipelines, integrations, transformations, databases, and data platforms, and the development and implementation of reference documents.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications to support sharing, analytics and intelligence.
• Assess platform interoperability tools and develop platform interoperability and data integration roadmaps.
• Foster and role-model a work environment that values performance, improvement, innovation and outcomes and knowledge sharing within ITP.
• Actively participate in a team environment and contribute to a positive workplace culture where ethical practices, workplace safety, equity, and diversity are valued and team members enjoy coming to work.

Key requirements:

• Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with executive-level stakeholders.
• Strategic mindset with a focus on delivering results.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Solid experience as a SME in data architecture in a large, complex enterprise environment.
• Solid experience in data science, data modelling, designing modern data platform solutions and data governance.
• Technical leadership in Microsoft technology stack.
• Power BI data analyst skills.
• Azure data engineer skills.
