Your Opportunity
The ECQ is looking for a versatile, multi-skilled and motivated person who is keen to develop or broaden their experience in both funding and disclosure along with compliance and enforcement aspects of post and proposed electoral events.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role assisting in the preparation and conduct of any electoral events from within the Compliance team.
The role will also undertake project support activities to deliver regulatory reforms guided by the principles of integrity, transparency, diversity and consistency for the electoral and governance frameworks.

Your Contribution
• Contribute to the ECQ's funding and disclosure compliance plan by analysing data such as bank statements, ledgers, official documentation for comparative purposes with the relevant systems.
• Assist external stakeholders, including elected representatives and other political participants, to use the ECQ systems to comply with their disclosure requirements.
• Contribute to the work of the Funding and Disclosure team such as by providing written and verbal information and education to stakeholders, processing applications, or monitoring systems.
• Draft and send penalty infringement notices and warning letters to stakeholders and manage responses as required.
• Assist the Principal Compliance Officer, Principal Funding and Disclosure Officer, or Senior Auditor in their work as required.
• Help in the development of educational material for use by stakeholders, including elected representatives, political parties, donors, and other key interested parties.
• Contribute to the testing and implementation of electronic support systems and business processes as they relate to funding and disclosure, ensuring that high standards of user experience and administrative efficiencies are maintained and complement the ECQ's compliance activities.
• Interpret government legislation and the ECQ's policies to ensure compliance at all levels in electoral matters.
• Undertake other tasks associated with the Funding and Disclosure team or Compliance team, as directed by the Manager or Director.
• Demonstrate effective oral and written communications skills and ability to liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• Contribute to team cohesiveness, wellbeing and capability through participation in establishing a positive environment, respectful of the views of others across the team and broader ECQ workforce.
• Consistently display the ECQ and Queensland Government values, and act in accordance with the Queensland public service legislative framework and Code of Conduct, ensuring that these are upheld at all levels of the organisation.
