District Manager

Community Corrections is responsible for supervising adult offenders in the community. Brisbane Region is one of seven regions across the state which covers the Greater Brisbane area including having District Offices in Brisbane City, Redlands, Wynnum, Mt Gravatt and Chermside areas. Community Corrections staff aim to protect the community and reduce re-offending by supervising individuals in the community and encouraging these individuals to adopt more pro-social attitudes and behaviours.
The District Manager is responsible for the oversight and leadership of a District Office which is comprised of teams of administrative and case management staff who oversight and manage caseloads of individuals subject to supervision.
Brisbane Region Community Corrections is seeking motivated and dedicated leaders who are passionate about developing teams and contributing to community safety.

- Managing the training and professional development of staff to ensure a high level of case management and service delivery.
- Ensuring you have contemporary knowledge and skills in the management of staff, including coaching, mentoring, human resources and legislative/industrial requirements.
- Manage and oversight the budget and financial requirements of the District Office.
- Working with administrative support staff to ensure the on-going effectiveness and suitability of facilities.
- Oversee case management activities and practices within a risk management
framework. - Ensure compliance with legislation and department guidelines/procedures for the management of individuals subject to supervision.
- Building and maintain partnerships with stakeholders including internal to the department, and external government and non-government organisations.
- Ensure appropriate sharing of information in accordance with legislation and departmental procedures to effectively contribute to community safety.
The District Manager is a member of the Brisbane Region leadership team and is required to work in conjunction with the Regional Manager to ensure a high level of service delivery and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Region.
