Senior Project Support Officer

The Senior Project Support Officer, Games Co-ordination, Olympic and Paralympic Games Office (OPGO), provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to contribute toward complex portfolio, program and project support for the planning and delivery of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games (Brisbane 2032).
Reporting directly to the Executive Director, Games Coordination, you will work closely with Games Delivery Partners to provide high-level project support that ensures best practice, fitfor-purpose solutions for the implementation and evolution of the programs of work that support the Brisbane 2032 Games.
This role requires a results-driven, dynamic individual with a strong background in project support, business administration and relationship management.

In this role you will:
• Provide responsive, timely, high-level project support to the Executive Director, Games Coordination, toward the government's portfolio of work relating Brisbane 2032 including the consolidated Brisbane 2032 Games Coordination Plan.
• Provide sound project management methodology and support for Games Delivery Partners including undertaking research, organising project briefing packs, preparing presentations and other general administrative duties.
• Provide advice and support on a range of project support processes including managing meeting logistics, agendas, minutes and action items and other areas as identified.
• Conduct and coordinate project engagement and consultation activities with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare project reports, submissions, briefings and correspondence as directed by the Executive Director, Games Coordination.
• Develop and maintain constructive, collaborative working relationships with the department and external Olympic and Paralympic Games stakeholders and partners to support consultation, liaison and negotiation of priorities and to ensure proactive responses and required outcomes are achieved.
• Demonstrate high-level communication and written communication skills, liaison, and negotiation skills in providing information to the Executive Director, Games Coordination and when engaging with internal and external stakeholders and partners.
• Demonstrate experience supporting workload prioritisation and allocation, operating successfully under pressure within required timeframes.
• Work collaboratively to influence positive outcomes for the delivery of the Olympic and Paralympic Games and ensure effective resource management, underpinned by a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Contribute to a workplace culture based on values and behaviours, ensuring a positive work environment that is safe, healthy, diverse, respectful and inclusive.
