An AO7 Principal Project Officer vacancy is available in the Administered Revenue Branch in the Finance Division of the Queensland Revenue Office.
You will work within a team environment to plan, review and implement business improvement activities and projects to deliver excellent financial and payment services.

Your typical day as a Principal Project Officer may include:
• Dynamic and varied, involved both strategic planning and hands-on delivery.
• Working through a prioritised list of business and system improvements to reduce duplication and manual effort and increase automation, efficiency and productivity.
• Reviewing QRO's payment environment to identify impacts, changes and risks to financial transactions associated with the decommission of cheques and changes to the Australia's payment system.
• Managing relationships with key stakeholders to improve client services, system efficiencies and banking services across taxes, royalties, fines and grants.
• Providing leadership, coaching, guidance, support and feedback to team members undertaking administered revenue project activities, as such acceptance user testings, data analysis, creating work instructions etc.
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
• Comprehensive understanding of client accounting, reporting and operational financial processes to deliver improvements to revenue collection services
• Experience in implementing financial robust controls and mitigating financial risks
• Strong communication, negotiation, team leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in using project artefacts
